The Department of Special Services encompasses the following:

Behavioral Health and Wellness

Behavioral health is one component of wellbeing. In Meridian School District we are interested in supporting students, families and staff with increased wellbeing in their lives. Every aspect of our lives influences your state of wellbeing.

Family Services

Family Services includes support for youth experiencing homelessness, our Meridian Family Support Center and language support.

Health Services

Our district nurses believe healthy children are successful learners. Our goal is to support student success through assessment, intervention and follow-up care for all students. We strive to provide for the safety and well-being of students and staff by integrating health solutions and partnering with parents and health care providers.

Special Education

Special Education is specially designed instruction that addresses the unique needs of students eligible to receive Special Education services. Special Education is provided at no cost to parents and includes the related services a student needs to access their educational program.
