Our Mission: Each student will succeed through quality, inspirational and innovative education.

Meridian School District serves more than 1,800 students grades PreK-12 in the communities of Bellingham, Everson, Ferndale, and Lynden in northwest Washington.

The district has four schools, employs more than 300 staff members and offers students award-winning opportunities and access to highly-trained educators. More than 99 percent of Meridian teachers are fully certificated and nearly half of our teachers have a masters degree with an average of 13 years of classroom experience.

The Meridian School District works in partnership with our families and our community to educate each student in a safe and supportive learning environment to become a positive contributor to society.

Our Location

Meridian School District is located immediately north of Bellingham, a city of approximately 90,000 people, in Whatcom County. The recreational, educational and cultural opportunities existing in Whatcom County all contribute to making it a unique and healthy place to live.

The Mt. Baker Ski Area provides one of the longest skiing seasons in the Northwest. The Mt. Baker National Forest, the Nooksack River system, lakes and beautiful Puget Sound provide varied opportunities for hiking and camping, fresh and saltwater fishing, boating and sailing. Close by are Western Washington University, Whatcom Community College and Bellingham Technical College.
