The District Office will be open to the public 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday beginning the week of June 24. However, the District Office and school offices are closed Wednesday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth and Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. School offices will be open through Tuesday, June 25 and then closed for the summer. 

The District Office returns to normal hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, on Monday, Aug. 19. All school offices will reopen on Tuesday, Aug. 20. 

2024-25 School Year

The first day of school for the 2024-25 school year is Thursday, Aug. 29. Monday, Sept. 2 is a no school day for the Labor Day holiday. Our 2024-25, 2025-26 and 2026-27 school year calendars are available on our calendars webpage.

Meridian Family Support Center

We’re excited to announce the availability of our food pantry and clothing closet at the Meridian Family Support Center (Portable 400A at Irene Reither Elementary). Starting June 26, the family center will be open Wednesdays from 2-5:30 p.m. The center will be closed on Wednesday, June 19 and Wednesday, Aug. 14.

Beginning Aug. 19, the family center will reopen with regular hours. The center will be open 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and until 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. As a reminder, the family center offers essential services such as school supplies, Operation School Bell sign-ups (for new school clothes), and assistance with school registration.

Summer Snack Program

The summer snack program will run from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 20 to Wednesday, July 24 (closed July 4) at Meridian High School. The program is open to all children 18 and under in the community. Please come to the main office at the high school to pick up the daily snack.
