Two current voter-approved levies expire at the end of 2024. These levies are an Educational Programs and Operations Levy (EP&O) and a Technology Capital Levy. These two replacement levies will be on the Special Election ballot on Feb. 13.

This short video featuring our student school board representatives, Morgan and Kennedy, provides an explanation of the two levies.

The EP&O levy helps pay for:

  • Teachers and Staff: Teachers, counselors, nurses and other school staff.
  • Programs and Services: Special Education, Career and Technical Education, Early Childhood Education and Highly Capable Program, interpretation and translation services.
  • Classroom Learning: Professional development, curriculum and assessments.
  • Safety: Safety supplies, training and equipment.
  • Activities and Athletics: Extra-curricular activities, the activity bus and athletics.

The Technology Capital Levy pays for:

  • Professional Learning and Curriculum: Instructional coaches, accessibility programs, software for student learning and online safety.
  • Safety and Security: Expansion of security cameras at all campuses.
  • Devices and Equipment: Replacements for devices that have exceeded their lifespan.
  • Educational Learning Spaces: Upgrades to classroom equipment such as digital screens, document cameras and audio.
  • Infrastructure and Technical Support: Replaces outdated network servers, switches and wireless access points, pays for technology support staff.
