There were several school districts on the I-5 corridor that lost power south of us this weekend and today. We have been monitoring the weather since Saturday and have not had any significant issues. As we continue to move deeper into the fall and winter months, please know that we will be utilizing our Flash Alert system to communicate any changes in our school operations due to poor weather. It is also important for students to be taking their devices home and back to school on a daily basis as we plan to pivot to remote delivery of instruction for poor weather that would normally shut schools down. National Principals Month
October is National Principals Month! We have been recognizing our building leaders this past month and wanted to share our gratitude for the hard work they do every day. There has been no shortage of tasks and duties to ensure our schools are open and functioning with our building teams. It is so much better to have our students back in school over last year. The opportunity to reconnect with our students in person has been fantastic! Our principals are leading for hope and continue the important work of leading instruction, supporting families, students, and staff – and so much more. Thank you, Mrs. Siadal, Mrs. Christiana, Mr. Torgeson, and Mr. Forbes!
Remember to Vote by November 2
Tuesday, November 2, is Election Day, and every vote counts. We encourage you to drop off your ballot at one of the Whatcom County Elections drop box locations before the Tuesday 8 p.m. election deadline. And to ensure your ballot meets the deadline, don’t wait until the last minute.
