Dear MP3 Families,
We are happily into the swing of things for MP3’s 2019-2020 school year. Our teachers and students have spent time over this first month of school getting to know one another, building their classroom communities, and focusing on positive expected behaviors and routines for success.
Thank you to those that were able to attend the “monthly review” parent workshop last month with their student learning plan certified teacher. The feedback was positive and helped new and returning families set the stage for a rich year of learning. We will be hosting another parent workshop with a focus on 30-day reviews from the student learning plans on Tuesday, October 8th from 9:00-10:00 am. Please remember to RSVP so we can plan accordingly with devices.
MP3 will be hosting a literacy celebration event on Wednesday, October 30th. Students are invited and encouraged to dress up as their favorite storybook character in homemade costumes. It will include a BOOK Parade in costume and students sharing their favorite books!
As a friendly reminder, this is NOT A HALLOWEEN EVENT, and costumes that are not related to children’s books or store-bought licensed character costumes are not allowed. We encourage kids to create their own costumes using items from their closets, construction paper, and recyclables. Bring your book if possible and no matter what, be prepared to share about your character. If you haven’t caught the creative bug, the internet and Pinterest have excellent examples and several photo ideas. Our motto is “Keep it simple and have fun with literacy!”
Happy Fall,
Michelle Siadal
