On Nov. 5, voters in Meridian School District will consider a bond proposal. This bond includes a plan to rebuild Meridian Middle School for grades 5-8. The Facilities Task Force recommended this solution to alleviate overcrowding at Irene Reither Elementary, which is projected to exceed 1,000 students by 2028.
Additionally, student enrollment at Meridian Middle School is expected to approach 500 students by 2030. Rebuilding as a 5-8 school will help accommodate this growth, better serve our students’ needs and honor our community’s investment in our schools.
