MHS Fall Conferences on September 12th, 13th and 14th

As a result of conferences this week, the school will be on an early release schedule, with school ending at 12:10 p.m. “Grab & Go” lunch will be provided each of those days.  This means students will need to pick up their lunch right after school before leaving campus.

If you have not signed up for a conference, please refer to the ParentSquare message sent out on Thursday morning for details on how to sign up via Skyward.  If you can’t make any of the times still open, please contact your student’s Homeroom teacher for an alternative time.

MHS Back-to-School Resource Fair and Open House Sept. 14

In addition to conferences on the 14th, families are also invited to our Back-to-School Resource Fair and Open House. Families will have an opportunity to seek resources and to meet their student’s teachers. Pizza and water will be provided.

Back-to-School Resource Fair (5:30 to 7:30 p.m.)

Beginning at 5:30 will be our Back-to-School Resource Fair. Staff and community partners will be available in the commons to answer questions and provide support.

Meridian staff will be available to help families with Skyward Family Access, ParentSquare and FinalForms. Food service staff will be available to answer questions about meal accounts and accept free/reduced meals applications. Transportation staff will be available to answer questions about bus routes. Our Meridian Family Support Center staff and mental health coordinator will also be available with resources.

We will also have a few community partners present. The League of Women’s Voters will be helping with voter registration. Representatives from FuturesNW will be available to provide information about financial aid resources for post-high school education.

Open House (6:30 to 8 p.m.)

The Open House begins at 6:30 p.m.  Families have an opportunity to follow their student’s bell schedule, starting with first period. In each class, the teacher will go over what your child will be learning and classroom expectations. This will be a great opportunity for you to meet your child’s teachers and ask questions.

If you need translation support, please contact our school at 360-398-8111 or our cultural liaison, Elvira Trautman at 360-306-2886.
