We are going to be administering the Healthy Youth Survey (HYS) to our students on Wednesday, October 20th. Due to COVID we have not been able to participate in this survey since 2018. Below is a link that will bring you to an example of the survey that will be given.
The Healthy Youth Survey (HYS) is a statewide, collaborative effort of OSPI, the State Department of Health (DOH), Health Care Authority (HCA), and the Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB). The survey asks students their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors pertaining to a variety of health and safety topics, including school climate and community safety, anxiety and depression, substance use and abuse, and healthy eating habits and physical activity. Results from the survey are located on the Healthy Youth Survey website(link is external).
If have further questions about the HYS, please contact Katie Miller at kmiller@meridian.wednet.edu.
If you do not want to have your student participate in the survey, please call the main office at (360) 398-8111. They will need to have something to do (school work, read a book) while the survey is being given.
