Hello everyone!
As we approach Teacher Appreciation Week, I want to take a moment to express our gratitude and admiration for the incredible educators at Meridian High School.
From May 6th to May 10th, we have the special opportunity to honor and recognize the hard work, dedication, and passion our teachers bring to our students every day. Our teachers are not only educators but also mentors, role models, and inspirations to our students, helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
This week, I encourage students and families to take a moment to thank a teacher who has made a positive impact in their lives. A simple note of appreciation or gesture of thanks can go a long way in showing our teachers how much we value their efforts.
To all our teachers: thank you for your unwavering commitment to shaping the future of our students. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do.
Let’s make this Teacher Appreciation Week a memorable one as we celebrate the amazing educators of Meridian High School!
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at 360.398.8111. If you need translation support, please contact our cultural liaison, Elvira Trautman at 360.306.2886.

This past week was Fastpitch Recognition Week!
Meridian’s Varsity team currently has a total of 7 wins under their belt! The team’s biggest win this season may have been against Squalicum High School on April 19, where the Trojans defeated the Storm by a whopping 20 points! We wish the Lady Trojans the best of luck as they continue to compete throughout the final days of their season.
Come support our fastpitch team! Attendance at games can earn students punches on their Spirit Card, which can earn them fun prizes at the end of the spring sports season. This week the Trojans play against Lynden High School on May 6, and play their final game on May 8 against Ferndale High School at home. Come cheer on our Varsity Fastpitch Team! Go Trojans!!

National School Nurse Day, May 8th
National School Nurse Day is observed on Wednesday, May 8th this year. It is a day when we come together as a nation to honor the field of school nursing. This event honors the daily efforts of school nurses to ensure all students’ wellbeing, safety, and academic ability.
We are very thankful for the great nurses that we have in the Meridian School District. This year has been a busy one for our nurses. They have embraced the challenges and supported all of us with a smile. Thank you to all the district nurses! We appreciate all your hard work and support!
A special shout out to our MHS nurses – Stacy and Rachel! Thank you for all you do for our school!
