Dear IRE Families,
As we approach the last full week of school, with June 17th marking the end of our academic year, I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible growth we’ve witnessed this year.
Our students have not only met but exceeded expectations, achieving an average of 130% of typical growth in our internal i-Ready assessment results for Reading. This is a remarkable accomplishment that speaks volumes about the dedication and hard work of our entire school community. It was great seeing so many families also celebrate our writing at the Author’s Showcase. Thank you for stopping by, and we are getting really excited to share our work with Math next year.
As we transition into summer, it’s natural to feel a mix of emotions. We may miss our friends, the daily routines, and the sense of community that school provides. It’s important during this time to take a deep breath, acknowledge our feelings, and extend grace to ourselves and others.
Here are some reflection questions to support your student during this transition:
· What were your favorite memories from this school year?
· Which book or story had the biggest impact on you, and why?
· How can you continue to explore and learn about topics that interest you over the summer?
· What are some ways you can stay in touch with school friends during the break?
· How can you create a new routine that includes time for relaxation and learning?
Let’s embrace this time of change with optimism and use it as an opportunity for rest, reflection, and preparation for the exciting journey ahead. We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements and can’t wait to see the bright futures they are headed towards.
Best,
Tyler Dockins, Principal

Field Day – Thursday, June 13
IRE students will have an opportunity to run, jump, and play as part of Field Day, our end-of-the-year celebration. During the day, students will be able to enjoy a bouncy obstacle course, kickball, bubbles, bouncy dino races, and dozens of other fun stations in Field A. They will cap it all off with some shaved ice and a dunk tank. Field Day will include new stations and a new format this year thanks to the hard work of our PTA. This is an opportunity for students to celebrate their success with their peers before summer. Parents who have already filled out a WATCH form are welcome to volunteer by signing up here ( https://www.signupgenius.com/go/508054DABA622ABFC1-49708557-irefield#/).
Help make this day a success:
1. Send kids to school with sunscreen applied at home (not allowed to be brought to school).

Students should wear:
Comfortable clothes (weather appropriate)
Comfortable shoes (tennis shoes are best)
