IRE Families,

What a beautiful weekend with this weather. We hope that you had an opportunity to be with your family outside in the incredible sunshine.

We are excited to announce that we will have an IRE Author’s Showcase next month. Save the date and see the details below.  This is where we will celebrate our journey with writing and show off every student’s work. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to gather some feedback about our journey with mathematics next year with our new math curriculum Eureka Squared (See the reviews).

IRE Author’s ShowcaseJoin us for a celebration of words and wonder at the Irene Reither Elementary Author Showcase!  Our students have been on an incredible journey, exploring the different writing forms of informative, narrative, and opinion writing. With dedication and the guidance of a schoolwide common writing rubric, they’ve honed their skills, crafted their voices, and are now ready to share their achievements with the world.

Save the Date: June 4th  Time: 4:30 to 5:30 PM

This is more than just a showcase; it’s a testament to the hard work and progress of our young authors at IRE. From the first letter to the final draft, they’ve poured their hearts into every word. Now, it’s time to shine a spotlight on their creativity and passion for writing.

SBA Testing
Grades 3-5 will be taking the Smarter Balanced Assessment May 14 – 25. Assessment is an important part of our overall learning at IRE. Our goal is for testing to be an authentic part of the learning process and accurate reflection of how students are performing. Home partnership plays a vital role.

Student Pick-Up Reminder

Please arrive between 3:25-3:40pm for student pick-up. If arriving before 3:25, proceed to the gravel lot. This will allow the end of the day traffic to flow smoothly and prevent backups.
