The elementary math curriculum identification committee is recommending Eureka Math2 by Great Minds as core material for elementary math. These research-based materials build students’ understanding of math concepts and skills.
The committee identified the following strengths in the Eureka Math2 materials:

The materials are aligned with the Washington State Math learning standards

Students learn math in ways that build understanding of math concepts

The materials guide teachers and students in problems solving discussions about math

These resources include visuals, models and hands on experiences that help students to understand math concepts

There is extra support in the materials for students learning English and for students with disabilities

Daily mini-assessments help teachers know if students understand the math and if they need more help or practice

Digital materials provide additional support for students and tools for teachers

The materials have a clear sequence that builds through each grade level
