Principal Message

IRE Families,
We are thrilled to host family conferences this week. These conferences are a valuable opportunity for us to collaborate, celebrate, and ensure your child’s continued success at Irene Reither Elementary. To facilitate these conferences effectively, we want to remind you that there will be an early dismissal at 1:15 P.M. on conference days (February 13th, 14th and 15th). We kindly request that you coordinate pickup at 1:15 P.M. to ensure a smooth transition for all families and students into their conferences. We sincerely appreciate your adherence to the scheduled conference time and planning for early release. This ensures that all students have proper supervision, and we unfortunately cannot accommodate students waiting for their conferences after school.

Thank you for bringing your child to their conference. If there is a time where you would like to discuss something more private, please reach out to your teacher for alternative way to discuss those important topics.

Here are the qualities we hope to have in all of our conferences:

  • Clear Agenda: Each conference will have a clear agenda, crafted with input from both families and students.
  • Student-Led Component: Your child will take an active role in the conference, sharing reflections and insights.
  • Grounded in Evidence: Conversations will be based on evidence, including student work, assessments, and other academic achievements.
  • Supportive Resources: Families will receive strategies and resources to support learning at home.
  • Academic Overview: The conferences will provide an overview of your child’s academic progress and insights into future academic endeavors.
  • Follow-Up Plan: We will establish a follow-up plan with shared accountability to ensure ongoing support for your child’s academic success.

Thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s education. We look forward to productive and insightful conversations.

Best,
Tyler

Meridian Youth Sports
Baseball, softball and T-ball registration are now open on meridianyouthsports.com. Space is limited in all divisions. Once a team is full everyone else will be put on a waiting list, until we have enough kids for another full team.
From our Transportation Department

This is a friendly reminder not to use the entrance to the IRE bus loop as a place to turn around. We have buses coming in and out of there, which is unsafe. We appreciate your understanding.

We want to hear from you!

For us to continue to improve as a school district and as a school, it is important for us to understand how we are doing in providing a quality education for all students.

Please take a moment to complete this annual survey which helps us better understand areas we need to focus on in order to provide the best quality education for our students. This survey will also serve as data for us as we continue to work toward meeting our goals outlined in Our Commitments, our strategic plan. The survey asks how you feel about several topics including school communication, expectations for learning and engaging with teachers and administrators.

Please complete this survey by March 8.
