We are hosting three optional practice times for families to try out our new dismissal system at Irene Reither Elementary. Please arrive by 3:35 p.m. on Aug. 28, 29 and 30. Come on by with your phone ready to scan and see how this new system works!

Also, on Wednesday, Aug. 30 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. families and students are invited to walk through our school and visit their classrooms. The Meridian Family Support Center will also be open for families to visit in Portable 400A.

We sent families an invitation to School Dismissal Manager on Monday, please use the link in that email to set up your account. Please also take a moment to download the School Dismissal Manager app on your phone so you can scan the QR code to pick up your child at dismissal.

When you arrive at IRE for one of our practice times, follow these instructions:

For parents who want to park and meet your child at the door: Please arrive at 3:30 p.m., scan in, and proceed to the gravel lot. Follow the flow of traffic by entering the green/yellow zone line. When instructed you will bypass the yellow and green zones to proceed to the gravel lot. You will park in the gravel lot. Another scan station is available here. Then walk along the sidewalk to the front doors to meet your child.

For parents staying in cars in FastLane: Please arrive no earlier than 3:35 p.m., scan in, and proceed as far forward in your color coded section as possible.

  • Blue Section (last names beginning A-K). Use the right lane and pull up to the first crosswalk in front of building B.

  • Yellow Section (last names beginning L-T). Use the left lane and you will be directed to merge into the yellow lane in front of building A up to the main entrance crosswalk.

  • Green Section (last names beginning U-Z) Use the left lane, go past the main entrance crosswalk and pull up along the curbside in front of the portables.

All groups: Please do your best to file forward behind the car in front of you and move as efficiently as possible. If extra buckle ups or rearranging is needed, please pull ahead into the gravel lot in order to preserve traffic flow.
