Principal’s Message
IRE Families,
As the weather has turned colder and windier, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your efforts in preparing our students for these chilly, wet conditions. We prioritize outdoor recess whenever possible, moving indoors only during heavy rain or extreme cold to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
I’m also excited to invite you to mark your calendars for our TK-2nd Family Math Night on Tuesday, November 12th, from 4 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. Following that, we invite you to join us for “Thriving Futures” from 4:50 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., featuring our Superintendent, Dr. James Everrett. It’s a wonderful opportunity to engage with our school community, learn about the math that we are doing at school, and learn about strategies you can use to support at home.
Last, we have the Harvest Festival coming up, hosted by our Meridian Middle School Boosters. Let’s show up and support our middle school for an evening of fun.
Best,
Tyler Dockins, Principal

Addressing Overcrowding; Watch Video
On November 5th, Meridian School District voters will consider a bond proposal to rebuild Meridian Middle School for grades 5-8. This recommendation from the Facilities Task Force aims to ease overcrowding at Irene Reither Elementary, which is projected to exceed 1,000 students by 2028. With student enrollment at Meridian Middle School expected to reach 500 by 2030, the rebuild will help accommodate growth, better serve our students’ needs and honor our community’s investment in our schools.
