The Department of Public Relations supports schools and students by coordinating communication with families, staff and our community. Department of Public Relations is responsible for branding and marketing, community relations, employee Recognition Program (Annual Awards), family notifications, media inquiries, press releases and messaging, publications and flyers, social media and website updates.

District Communication Tool

Meridian School District uses ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified. Learn more about ParentSquare.

  • Recognizes all district staff

February 5-9, 2024: National School Counseling Week

  • Recognizes school counselors, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech language pathologists, mental health coordinator, psychologists, intervention specialists.

March 11-15, 2024: Education Support Professionals Week

  • Recognizes paraeducators, tech support, food services, bus drivers, custodians and maintenance, secretaries, student monitors, librarians and any other non-certificated support staff.

April 22-26, 2024: Public School Volunteer Week

  • Recognizes school volunteers and community partners.

May 6-10, 2024: National Teacher Appreciation Week

  • Recognizes teachers and certificated specialists.

May 8, 2024: National School Nurse Day

  • Recognizes school nurses and health assistants.
