We are beyond excited at the prospect of having all our students return to our campuses next week. We know there has been communication and planning going out to families from each building to set the stage and prepare for the changes. Thank you for your support and help in this preparation. If you have questions, please reach out to your building principal. Additionally, on Jan. 13, the School Board approved a modified district calendar for the remainder of the school year. It has been shared previously, but we want to make sure everyone sees the latest version.
Did you know Meridian School District has a Communications Team? We do! Kaitlyn Michaelson, Lise Waugh, Joe O’Brien, and Aaron Jacoby have been meeting and working to refine our communication both in and out of the district. We will see increased communication going out through our social media outlets. One of the tools we have not had in place is a social media policy to outline the parameters for how content is shared and responded to by the district. We are initiating a Social Media Task Force to collaboratively develop digital/social media use policies and procedures to improve positive online interactions, experiences, and safety for our students, staff, and community. We are seeking volunteers to help us develop this policy.
If you are interested in volunteering, to read specific content pertaining to the Social Media Task Force. Then, if the purpose, content, dates, and times work for you, fill out the linked application, and send it to Kaitlyn Michaelson at the District Office (214 W. Laurel Road) or email it to communications@meridian.wednet.edu.
Thank you, in advance, for your consideration and interest in supporting our work to serve the students of the Meridian community.
