Winter Break Dec. 23 to Jan. 3
All schools and the District Office will be closed for winter break from Dec. 23 to Jan. 3. School resumes on Monday, Jan. 6
The Meridian Family Support Center will also be closed during winter break, this includes the clothing closet and Wednesday food pantry.
Attendance Reminders
Every day of school is an important opportunity for students to learn as well as to connect to their peers and teachers. As long as your child is healthy, please encourage them to show up to class when school is in session. We look forward to welcoming students back from winter break on Monday, Jan. 6.
Good attendance habits are strongly linked to student academic success. Regular attendance helps students build routines, increase engagement by building relationships with peers and teachers, and provides access to enrichment activities and athletics. Regular attendance also supports student success by limiting disruptions to their learning.
If you’re wondering whether you should send your child to school due to illness, we have information available on our website or please contact your school nurse.
We also have information on our website about the importance of regular attendance as well as what is considered an excused or unexcused absence.
Thank you for partnering with us to encourage your child’s success in school.
