School Board Vacancy Announcement
Dear Meridian Community,
Please see the attached vacancy announcement for two different positions on the Meridian School District Board of Directors. One position must be filled as an appointment, the other position must be filled in the November 2017 General Election. Both positions must be filled by a registered voter who lives within the respective Director District.
Director District #5 – School Board Director, John Bosche has notified the District of his intention to resign as School Board Director for Director District #5 before his elected term expires. The Meridian School District is currently accepting applications from community members who live in Director District #5. The Board of Directors will interview selected applicants and will appoint one to serve on the Board for the remainder of the existing elected term ending in November 2019. The application form for Director District #5 is attached below and must be submitted to the Meridian School District Superintendent’s Office (214 W. Laurel Rd.) by May 1, 2017.
Director District #2 – School Board Director, Karolyn Crabtree has notified the District of her decision to not run for re-election for her position as School Board Director of Director District #2 this year. Her elected term expires in November 2017. Director Crabtree will continue to serve until someone new is elected to fill that position in the November 2017 general election. Candidates must file with the county elections office during the week of May 15-19, 2017 for this position.
