  • WCC Tour Day:  We wil be participating in the WCC Tour Day on Nov. 30th.  Sophomores and juniors who are considering Running Start are invited to attend, as well as seniors thinking about going to WCC next fall.  Please pick up a permission slip and sign up with Mrs. Waterman. Permissions slips are due Nov. 27th at the latest.
     
  • Winter Ride:  If you (students) are interested in the Winter Ride program to ski/snowboard up at Mt. Baker, please contact Mr. Burkett (rburkett@meridian.wednet.edu) for more information.
     
  • SENIORS
    • Jostens: If you were not able to make the meeting regarding ordering of caps and gowns and other grad gear,  please pick up an order packet in the office as soon as possible.
       
    • Senior meeting:  If you were not in attendance, please contact the appropriate person.
      • High School and Beyond Plan - Ms. McBride or Mr. McMains
      • Scholarships - Mrs. Waterman
      • Senior presentations - Mrs. Waterman or your adviser
         
    • Diploma Names: Seniors, please come to the office and let Mrs. Heslep know how you want your name on your diploma.  She is here from 8:00am to 3:00pm.
       
    • Senior Grad Ads:  The space for Grad Ads in the yearbook is currently full. However, we have started a wait list.Please contact the high school office to have your name put on the waiting list. We will need to know if you prefer a 1/2 page ($100) or a 1/4 page ($50) at that time. Thank you!  Questions?  Ask Mr. Durkee at mdurkee@meridian.wednet.edu.

  • After School Activity Bus:  There is a late bus available to take students home after activities, sports practices and getting help with homework.  The bus leaves promptly at 5:00pm.  If you are not in sports, a club or with a teachers, you need to leave right after school.  You may not leave the campus and return to take the bus.  Please make arrangements to take the bus right after school or get a ride home.
     
  • Running Start students are allowed on the MHS campus only when they have an MHS class.  You may not arrive early or stay later than your class unless it is prearranged in the office.  Running Start students may attend class meetings/college visits/assemblies, etc. if they come for that activity and sign in/sign out. If you have questions about this policy, it is best to meet with Mr. Donahue or Mr. Forbes.

Sports:

Interested in coaching youth basketball? The Boys and Girls club is desperately in need of volunteer basketball coaches for boys and girls teams for ages kindergarten-6th grade. The only requirement is that you are 18 and must be able to pass a background check.  Practices would be in the evening and games on Saturdays. If you are interested in this opportunity please come and see Mr. Michaelson

 

Winter sports have started!  If you plan on playing boys’ or girls’ basketball or boys’ or girls’ wrestling, please see Mrs. Heslep to make sure all your paperwork is in!

 

Soccer open gym:  Join us Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:15am - 7:15am for some pick-up soccer.  All abilities are welcome!  This is for students only.
Softball open gym: Mondays and Wednesdays from  5:30pm - 7:00pm starting November 5th in the MHS South Gym. We will have a workout program set in place and time for throwing, hitting and conditioning. Please take advantage of this opportunity to get ready for the upcoming season!

Post Season - up to date schedules are at www.nwcathletics.com.  We will try to keep this as current as possible, but the website will be the most accurate. 


 

Post-season ticket prices:

Adults and students without ASB cards: $10

Children/students with ASB/seniors: $7

 

*please remember that we only take cash or check at sporting events - no credit/debit cards*

*With winter season sports upon us, please note that tickets are required for all C-Team/JV/Varsity basketball games*

  • Scheduling:  You may not schedule a Running Start class that conflicts with a MHS class.  This means you are not able to come late or leave early from your MHS class to accomodate your Running Start classes.  Please see your counselor right away if this is the case.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Did you know you can email teachers to get homework assignments if your student is absent? Teacher email address are listed on the MHS website.  You can also contact the Attendance office (398-8111).  

In order to receive that day's homework, the request must be made before 10:00am, and you can pick up the homework after 2:30pm. Be sure to call first to make sure it's there.
 

Skyward Grading - don't forget to check your students' grades on Skyward.  You can go directly to Skyward Family Access and enter your login and password.  If you have forgotten your information, please contact the office.

Class of 2019 Booster Club

Grad Night (night of graduation) payments need to be paid in full by February 1st.   Cost is $150 per student.  Please contact Leslie Pagnossin at l.pagnossin@comcast.net for the mailing address or to arrange payment.

The Winter Craft Show is coming! It will be held on December 1st 9-4 and located in the gym. This is hosted by the Class of 2020 Booster Club. If anyone would like  info about being a vendor then they can email me at vogelamanda85@gmail.com
